DESCRIPTION Machu Picchu is a small Inca city built on top of a mountain surrounded by temples platforms and water channels. Its construction was built with giant blocks of stone joined together without the use of amalgam or any product that reinforces their union. currently it is considered a cultural heritage of humanity being recognized as an important political, religious and administrative center of the Inca period. HIGHLIGHTS (highlights of the tour) You will visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu with an expert guide. You will have the opportunity to learn about Inca history, culture and religion. Train tour, enjoying the beautiful Andean landscapes, archaeological remains, flora and wildlife for the duration of the tour until you reach to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town). ITINERARY 03:20 a.m At the indicated time our clients will be picked up from their respective hotels, then you will be transferred to Ollantaytambo to board the train at 06:10 am, which will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes, traveling for 1 hour with 40 minutes. When arriving to Aguas Calientes , you will be transferred to the bus station of Aguas Calientes to take the bus that will take you on a trip of 30 minutes along a winding road to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as “The Lost City of the Incas “. You will be contacted with our guide to start your guided tour of the Citadel,(2 hours guided tour) visiting the Plaza Principal, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. Then you will have free time to take a walk around the citadel, Until the scheduled time and then take the bus down, to Aguas Calientes, you will have time for lunch and visit this small town considering the departure tine train ride from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo.
