ITINERARY Day 1: Uros Islands & Amantani 7:00 a.m. Pick up from hotel and transfer to the port of Puno to take a tourist motor boat and head towards the wonders floating islands of the Uros. Despite the time today remain living in artificial islands, known as the Water Tribe, they have to build their own Islands periodically, adding new layers of “Totora”. Their homes and boats are made of the same material. After the visit continue the journey by two hours to the island of Amantani. This island is inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives still governed by their ancient traditions, whose main business is the production of ceramics and textiles. The positive energy of this Island is so powerful that it is known as the “Love Island”. Arriving at the island we will taste a typical lunch, then headed to the ceremonial centers “Pachatata” and “Pachamama”, sacred temples in the Andean region. At night we will stay in the family home enjoying the hospitality of a typical Amantani home. Host family night Amanataní Island. Day 2 Taquile Island and return to Puno After breakfast, we destined to Taquile Island, on the island appreciate the typical form of living of the people, their customs, traditions, religious and folk rituals. This island is also inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed efficient and unique social system in the town of Taquile, later lunch is in the same place, there are different disches lijke beans , fish or vegetarian food (with a stunning view Lake), then we will walk 20 minutes to the town square, free time, and few minutes later descend to the pier to go to Puno. 17.30 hrs.
